A Perfect Birthday

We are told by mathematicians, "Because 90 is the sum of its unitary divisors (excluding itself), it is a unitary perfect number." Well I know my family thinks the number 90 is perfect as well -- a perfect reason to celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday!

Even though Dad's actual birth day was in May, we decided to wait until I was in Ontario this summer so I could join the celebration in person. I am so glad we waited!

Here are some photos taken of my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and (it's hard to believe) my grand-nieces and nephews. Time certainly doesn't stand still for any of us!

My mother, brother, nephew and wife. Our latest addition to the extended family is Ethan who is 2 months old shown here with proud sisters Cadence and Kirsten!

My sister, nephew, niece and family. Tristan also had a birthday this month and is now 88 years younger than Dad!

Some of us headed back to the house to relax in the backyard.

It's amazing to think how much has changed since 1924, the year Dad was born. This newspaper birthday edition (a tribute to Dad) reveals a little of what times were like 90 years ago...
